Cara has expertise working in biotech and life sciences companies spanning corporate, product and internal communications. Her career has encompassed leading communications efforts at public life sciences companies as well as advising early-stage to commercial companies on communications strategies. Cara is the Director of Corporate Communications at Homology Medicines, a genetic medicines company translating a proprietary gene therapy and gene editing platform into potential cures for patients with rare genetic diseases. Prior to Homology, she served as Managing Director at Ten Bridge Communications, a life sciences communications consulting agency. Previously, Cara was Corporate Communications Director for OvaScience, a global fertility company. She has also led public relations and internal communications efforts for a healthcare business-to-business company and worked in the corporate communications and investor relations group at Inspire Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Merck).
