Hang Liu is the director of speechwriting at the Center for American Progress, an action-oriented think tank dedicated to advancing progressive values. Prior to his current position, Liu served as a Presidential Management Fellow and Speechwriter for then-Secretary Julián Castro at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and as a communications aide with the 2016 Hillary for America campaign. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
