Chris Monteiro is the chief communications officer for KPMG, where he manages all aspects of communications in the U.S., including media relations, corporate reputation and crisis management as well as leadership, internal and digital communications. He joined the firm in 2016, bringing more than two decades of experience leading strategic communications programs in senior-level communications positions. Monteiro previously served as MasterCard’s chief communications and digital marketing officer, where he led globally integrated communications programs designed to help drive business performance and reputation. Prior to MasterCard, Chris worked for several marketing and public relations agencies representing a number of major consumer brands. He began his career at ESPN and The University of Connecticut. Monteiro is a proud member of The Arthur W. Page Society and was recently recognized by PR Week among its “Power 50” (July 2015) and by The Holmes Report as one of the 100 Most Important In-House Communicators.
