Stephanie L. Smith is the digital and social media lead at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where she oversees the social media team and tweets on behalf of the Curiosity Mars rover. She holds conversations with the public and with journalists about more than 20 space missions via Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Ustream, Instagram, Tumblr, Flickr, Giphy, Google+ and Reddit. She’s a 2017 Webby Award nominee and was recognized by Time for running one of the “140 Best Twitter Feeds.” A veteran of the “Let’s Go” travel guides, Idealab and Webby- and Peabody-award winning “Channel One News,” she’s always game for adventures that make great stories. @MarsCuriosity
