Karen Budell leads content marketing and editorial strategy for the Google Analytics 360 Suite, where she is responsible for research, planning, content development, publishing, and distribution. Karen, a strategist and content marketer with roots in journalism, has more than 15 years’ experience in media, content development, and marketing — with B2B and B2C roles on the client, publisher, and agency sides. A native Chicagoan, Karen spent nearly 10 years at the Chicago Tribune Company, first as a reporter and digital content producer before moving into brand marketing and strategy. She then led a 40-person, award-winning content department as the first Chief Content Officer of a Chicago-based customer publisher and content marketing agency. Two years later, Karen moved to California and began working in B2B enterprise software, launching content marketing programs aligned to thought leadership and demand generation strategies.
