Andrew Bates is enterprise data strategy director for AARP.. He is responsible for developing and managing programs to help AARP’s many groups better leverage business intelligence for the greater good of the organization. Working closely with internal marketing groups and external technology vendors, he bridges these worlds, regularly presenting his insights and recommendations to an executive committee of C-suite decision makers.

A veteran of Internet technology, data analysis and digital marketing, Andrew is currently focused on the deployment of a big data initiative that will connect AARP’s many technologies and systems, enabling the organization to better measure the effectiveness of its marketing efforts and improve the experience of its members.

For 20 years, Andrew has developed winning marketing strategies and multi-channel attribution models for organizations, including Navy Federal Credit Union, DuPont, American Cancer Society and Rosetta Stone.
